| Util | lichtkind: According to the CREDITS file, cotto is the current Architect for Parrot, and dukeleto is the Admin for Parrot in the Google Summer of Code (GSoC). This matches my own understanding of their roles. | 02:23 | |
| However, note that "Chief" is a limited notion in many open-source projects, including Parrot. cotto does not weigh-in on every technical decision, and dukeleto is certainly listened to when he speaks. | |||
| For any given arena (GC, build, testing, config, etc), whomever is most actively working on that code is assumed to be most knowledgable about what is needed. If work is going counter to a broader direction of the project, someone is much more likely to just make the contributor *aware* of that direction, instead of "pulling rank" to declare that that work should be scrapped. | |||
