mikehh dukeleto: make fulltest does not accept --archive argument, will look at that later 00:04
mikehh needs sleep
I goota take a break, am starting to make some elementry mistalkes - bbl 00:05
dukeleto mikehh: yes, the tests pass for me too, without an install. But for cotto++ they fail
mikehh: see ya around 00:06
cotto wonders if he's doing it wrong 00:07
dukeleto cotto: have you done a realclean and tried a fresh checkout? 00:08
cotto: i am not sure that you are doing anything wrong, but those would be good things to check
cotto why not
though I don't want to do a complete uninstall until rakudo's spectest finishes running under the pcore 00:09
I see a couple failing tests. It'll be interesting if they turn out to be the pcore's fault. 00:11
Hmmm. They pass on a clean checkout. 00:13
and in my dev checkout
I guess they can be unTODO'd. 00:14
dukeleto cotto: go for it. if they fail, we will have good data of where they need to be TODOed from smokes 00:16
cotto: did ellefu++'s patch get applied ? 00:17
A web interface to creating a HLL for Parrot might be something nice to hack on during the hackathon/get-together. I have been meaning to do it already. 00:18
cotto nope 00:20
dukeleto, why?
dukeleto cotto: just wondering. i saw a commit from you fixing default.pmc 00:21
cotto nm. the tests fail
afk
dukeleto cotto: take it easy

cotto dukeleto, how would a web interface for hll creation be useful? 07:08

It's almost funny how long svn log takes. 17:15

dukeleto cotto: a web interface to HLL creation would allow someone to just download a zip file of their HLL, while choosing the options with a web GUI instead of figuring out the various options to mk_language_shell/create_lang 19:40

cotto dukeleto, I see. That's an interesting possibility/. 20:03
dukeleto cotto: similar to leto.net/modstarter.cgi 20:18
cotto also a good idea 20:19
dukeleto++
dukeleto cotto: it's all about making easy onramps 20:20
darbelo If you want to take it even further, there's ideas to steal from mbed's online IDE.
dukeleto darbelo: i am not familiar with that. you got a link? 20:21
darbelo Let me dig a bit.
mbed.org/handbook/Tour seems to be a good summary. 20:22
It's an AJAX-y web IDE. Type your code into it, then hit 'build' and you get to download a binary. 20:24
It's supposed to be good for rapid development. 20:25
dukeleto wow. sounds cool.
darbelo I'm not a big fan, but it does have it's uses. They won't let you use it if you don't buy one of their dev boards though. 20:26
OTOH, I wouldn't let anyone run untrusted parrot code on may servers. 20:28
Eh... nor my servers, for that matter. 20:29
dukeleto darbelo: there are some good ideas to be borrowed, though 20:30
dukeleto goes into the IRLwebs
cotto That sounds like a contradiction. There's nothing irl about the webs. 20:36
