alvis What I did: 19:21
* Finally, completed my 'C' implementation of a lisp "core", as a start on ClojurePVM.
* Started work on implementation of the 'ClojurePVM' "core" in Winxed.
* Started work on 'wpp.winxed', a minimal preprocessor for Winxed. 19:22
* Got 'ParrotQuotes' moved to Github Wiki.
* Started [reviewing&drafting] a written proposal for a "Parrot VM Specification and Reference Implementation Manual"
* Cont'd review of procedure to automate conversion of docs for the release cycle.
* Cont'd review of 'tools/docs/make_html_docs.pl' for updates.
* Cont'd review of procedure to automate turning the pods for 'installable binaries into manpages.
What I'm working on:
* Sees items 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 & 8 above. 19:23
* Working on 'make_html_docs.pl' to add a section to 'index.html' about languages, i.e., winxed and nqp-rx.
* [Researching|Thinkin' 'bout|seriously contemplating] solution sets for documentation integration (i.e., we need a better way to integrate and, then, render our documentation to developers) Note: I'm thinking of how Common Lisp/Ruby/SWI-Prolog handle their documentation needs and how we need something -- I don't know what, yet -- similar.
What I plan to do:
* [Complete|make progress on] the 'working on' items above.
* Write a freakin' logbot.pl to post these reports to #parrotsketch.

cotto hello 19:31
NotFound Hola
alvis hello
whiteknight hello
NotFound Forgot to report, sorry.
cotto NotFound: go ahead now
NotFound I mean, forgot to write the report ;) 19:32
Short one: working on Guitor, a GUI module using xlib via nci. 19:33
cotto Thanks.
How's this week been? 19:34
whiteknight good
cotto I'm looking forward to seeing the ticket migration work by alester++ and dukeleto++ come to fruition.
whiteknight yes, that is getting very close
dukeleto hola 19:35
ENOREPORT
GCI students have been kicking ass.
and github issues for parrot.git are very close, mostly thanks to alester++
whiteknight yes. We need to get a lot more tasks ready for the 16th
I've been putting together several tickets already, but not nearly enough 19:36
cotto Is there a way for those of us who don't have active melange account to play along at home?
dukeleto cotto: sure. People can send task suggestions to parrot-dev 19:37
cotto alvis++ for moving ParrotQuotes. We'll have to resume adding things to it now. 19:39

cotto alvis: where's the VM spec living? 19:39
alvis cotto: I haven't put it up yet? Is that something I should, generally, do? 19:40
cotto alvis: commit early and often
alvis cotto: Ok. I wanted to post to parrot-dev first and see if there were any opinions, either way. 19:41
cotto: but i'll get something up, ASAP.
cotto alvis: great!
alvis are there any guidelines on what goes in the Github Wiki pages? 19:42
cotto "not spam"
alvis cotto: :) All of the articles and older material on trac, for example? 19:43
cotto The definition of "spam" is left as an exercise to the user. 19:44
whiteknight yes, content from trac if it doesn't look too half-assed and forgotten is worth moving 19:48
dukeleto alvis: add useful stuff to the wiki 19:49
alvis: that is our policy :)
alvis 'k, got it.
cotto any questions about the coming week? 19:51
whiteknight nope 19:52
nine I'm gonna need some help with a very strange GC problem in the threads branch
whiteknight count me in
nine :)
cotto nine: post to parrot-dev and let's have at it!
nine Thanks, I will
whiteknight nine: I just fixed a really creepy bug in the Task PMC in master 19:54
update your branch from master soon to see if that helps
nine whiteknight: will have a look at it right away
whiteknight pmc2c silently does something extremely stupid if you have a variable in a METHOD with the same name as an argument 19:55
the fix is to light pmc2c on fire and run it over with my car
nine sounds like a sound solution to me 19:57
benabik +1
cotto now if only we had an alternative...
nine Well at least I already learned (again) that cleverness does not always lead to the best code... like POINTER_ARRAY_ITER which might be a clever replacement for C++ templates, but makes debugging a real hell 19:59
