moritz no chromatic today? 18:32
Tene Pasting my report now:
* Add gather/take to cardinal
* Add a filter to the return handler in pct-generated code. This makes debugging generated pir a bit nicer.
* Add severity and type filters to exceptionhandlers.
* Found a weird bug in IMCC: rt.perl.org/rt3//Public/Bug/Display...l?id=59410
* Still waiting on hearing about dmknopp's CLA
KTHXBAI

Wknight8111 sorry, running late
rurban rurban's report:
* not much time: still in mainz and no flat, some work on perl5 refactoring (oplines)
* renamed the cygwin070patches branch to pdd30_install, but I'm not uptodate anymore
* reading parrot history for former pdd30_install plans
* troubleshooting cygwin release 0.7.1 errors (not yet released)

chromatic pmichaud?
pmichaud ** Rakudo spectest_regression: 193 files, 4381 passing tests (+24/+705 from last week!)
== Parrot stuff
: worked with chromatic++ to fix float-to-string conversion... now much better!
-- I estimate it's responsible for ~100 new passing spectests in Rakudo
== PCT stuff
: HLLCompiler -- cleaned up handling of readline and interactive mode
: various discussions with Tene++ about next/last/redo control exceptions
== Rakudo stuff
: fixed handling of Num and Int constants
: fixed unspace handling around dotty ops
: still working on fixing value/reference semantics (to be done in new branch)
: reviewed lots of patches
...yes, that's correct.... SEVEN HUNDRED FIVE new passing spectests. :-) (moritz and co)++

chromatic jhorwitz? 18:39
jhorwitz speaking at pittsburgh perl workshop. revising mod_perl6 talk to reflect recent changes.
egan writing some handy mod_perl6 modules (Apache::Constants, etc.). ran into a nasty segfault with "use" and multi-level namespaces (see my followup to RT #58368). i wrote some simple test cases, and help would be much appreciated. 18:40

cotto * My contract at Microsoft has ended.
* Thanks fo them for sponsoring the prototype PHPArray.
* am reimplementing PHPArrays, addressing some issues with the first version
* everything committed is code that I've written on my own time with no direct copying
* should help give Pipp a shot in the arm once I'm done
* I'm apparently mentoring Igor. We'll see where that goes. Definitely no commit bit for now.

chromatic I fixed some bugs and will look at whatever people ask me to look at. jhorwitz's crash is high on the list, as is that weird IMCC bug.
barney?
barney ENOREPORT Try to get some Pipp stuff done in the next weeks
chromatic allison?
allison - Sorry to miss last week's #parrotsketch, I messed up my time-zone calculations and was on an airplane when I expected to be on airport wireless access. 18:43
- In the past two weeks, I resolved almost all the failing core and language tests in the MMD branch. Please take a look and let me know of any show-stoppers, as I plan to merge in the branch soon after I get home to Cape Town.
- I also spoke about Parrot at the JVM Languages Summit last week, and got a very positive response on some of the dynamic features of Parrot, as the JVM expands to accommodate more dynamic languages. 18:44

chromatic Anyone else?
moritz queues a question he forgot to mention
chromatic moritz, go ahead. 18:45
moritz we have a pynie contributer who likes to stay anonymous - is that ok from a legal POV?
or do we need a real name in CREDITS or somewhere?
allison If the contributions are small enough, anonymous is fine.
NotFound There are a lot of no real names in CREDITS 18:46
allison Though, I should talk to him and make sure there's no legal encumbrance from his employer.
moritz ok
allison It may also be possible to get a signed CLA from his employer with no individual name.
pmichaud queues a question. 18:47
allison (just to document the legal path)

chromatic pmichaud?
pmichaud Tene mentioned the weird bug in RT #59410 -- will someone (chromatic) be able to throw some tuits at it? It's a blocker for rakudo next/last/redo handling.
(as well as being, well, weird.) 18:48
I might see if I can come up with a simplified example of the bug.
chromatic A simplified example will help greatly.
It tickles my memory as to something we saw on the concurrency branch though. 18:49
pmichaud I may create a branch for testing it, that's probably easier than throwing patches around.
also, I haven't received any further comments on the lexicals proposal, so I'm planning to go ahead with it in a branch as well.
chromatic Oh yeah, that thing I meant to do on the plane/train. 18:50
pmichaud eoq. 18:51
chromatic Any other questions?
That sounds like a no. Great work getting the Rakudo numbers up to 100 more tests per day. 18:52
See you all next week!
allison Thanks, c! 18:53
moritz ciao
rurban bye!
