Done: Nothing ($WORK persists)
Doing:
* Only just now revisiting sa1's structview problem
GSoC students: Remember to make your reports also to parrot-dev and parrot.org.

** Found the source of the weeks-old initializer Bug
** Fixed other bugs which led to null PMC accesses.
** Tested several libgit2 functions, but lots of bugs remain.
Util Hello! Who all is in attendance? 19:31
sa1 Util: Hello
Util: it was a very stupid bug in the end. 19:32
19:32 denisboyun joined
Util sa1: The initializer bug? or the StructView bug? 19:32
sa1 Util: a strace revealed that RefCache.pbc was being loaded from parrot installation directory and wasn't being updated. 19:33
Util: the same one. The first line of output was referring to initializer
Util Right
sa1 The test did contain $load "./src/Git2/RefCache.pbc"; 19:34
I probably have to introduce it in other files too since they are compiled independently. 19:35
Util sa1: is `make` not rebuilding the dependent .pbc? 19:36
denisboyun Pre-report: 19:37
Done: Nothing ($WORK persists)
Doing:
* an attempts to deploy the project on inet-host(dotcloud, gnu compile farm)
.end
sa1 Util: It is, as I mentioned in the email. But the file was being loaded from the parrot installation directory.
I needed to do make install
Util sa1: OK
denisboyun: Hello. Glad you made it. 19:38
denisboyun Hi Util
Util Is your "Done: ..." line a cut-and-paster error?
denisboyun Util: No 19:40
Util: I tried to deploy my project on dotCloud but it's failed 19:41
Util denisboyun: OK. I had thought that none of our GSoC students had paying jobs during the term of the project. 19:42
denisboyun: Do you have an account on feather (which is also called perlcabal.org)?
denisboyun Util: No
Util denisboyun: Can you now ssh into the parrot.org server? 19:43
denisboyun Util: Yes
Util: But we are speaking about that with Duke and decided to deploy project on dotcloud 19:44
Util: Only a stable reliase to deploy on parrot.org 19:45
Util denisboyun: OK
denisboyun Util: and a few days ago, I've confirmed on gnu compile farm
Util: so a much way for deploying my project 19:47
Util denisboyun: OK. So, you tried to deploy on dotCloud, and failed. Do you need someone to help with dotCloud, or will you just try to deploy on GNU next?
Do either of you have anything blockers that we need to assist you with? 19:49
denisboyun Util: I'm writing on freenode #dotcloud about my problem and it's didn't help. As said about gnu compile farm i haven't tried to deploy my project on that 19:50
Util: i will try to deploy on gnu compile farm 19:51
sa1 No blockers, as there is progress. I am fixing old sources of null PMC accesses and new ones are coming up.
If I'm able to keep with that and the segmentation faults, I should have an example with docs this week.
s/keep/keep up/
Util denisboyun: If gnu compile farm also fails, please let me know quickly, and we can get a Feather account for you. Both dukeleto and I can directly ssh into feather to assist. 19:52
denisboyun Util: ok 19:53
Util sa1: example+docs is something I looks forward to. Sounds great.
Coke Util: I would recommend making the request for a feather account now to avoid delays.
Util Do you both feel that you are roughly on schedule? (I have not checked your "inchstones" lately). 19:54
Coke: Thanks; I was actually looking for Juerd's address in my email history. Do you have it handy? 19:55
sa1 Util: I am more than a week behind. The unified buildsystem last week was on schedule but I should have done repo and commit work by now, but that was stuck because of said bugs.
Util sa1: I understand. Progress should accelerate now, since the bugs blocking you are resolved. 19:57
sa1 Yes. 19:58
denisboyun Util: I'm going to do on my schedule. at this i should do a different build and test system(it isn't done) but the next week - it's create tests and documentation almost done 19:59
Util denisboyun: OK 20:00
Anything else before we adjourn? 20:01
denisboyun Util: no
sa1 no
Util Thank you all for participating! 20:02
Meeting adjourned.
