skrshn I am having issues when I rebuild moar: rakudobrew build moar 14:22
it automatically also tries reinstalling zef
I get the error: ===> Testing [OK] for zef:auth('github:ugexe') ===> Installing: zef:auth('github:ugexe') ===> Install [SKIP] for zef:auth('github:ugexe'): zef:ver<*>:auth<github:ugexe>:api<> already installed !!!> Install failures: zef:auth('github:ugexe')
I know this has been reported in the past
Are there any workarounds? 14:23
ugexe personally i don't think rakudobrew should be updating panda or zef the way it does, and that if it must it should simply uninstall/nuke the install directory 16:25
skrshn: pr sent github.com/tadzik/rakudobrew/pull/106 16:33

nine personally I still think almost no one should be using rakudobrew in the first place 21:34
lizmat fwiw, I have never used rakudobrew 21:36
sjn likes tools that simplify my life... are there any alternatives to rakudobrew in that regard? 22:13
tadzik hides 22:15
stmuk I've never any 'brew problems the occassional nuke hasn't solved! 22:42
I still have problems with upgrade-repository.pl on windows :( 22:52
gmake install doesn't work using the strawberry perl gcc anymore
ugexe same here. im too lazy to have setup all the various releases on a machine otherwise 23:03
but i never rebuild over an existing name without nuking
also nice when you have both moar and jvm variants installed 23:06
alas these are developer viewpoints 23:07
