| MadcapJake | nine: so it's possible that I could create a CompUnit::Repository that would pre-empt any of the other repos, right? | 20:05 | |
| I'm looking to create a module manager that uses IPFS & gx. gx handles the downloading and installing (via IPFS), I would just need to make a Repository that can traverse the modules. Would I need to handle precomp as well? | 20:08 | ||
| Unfortunately, the only way I can see that working (without user intervention) is by implementing my own script/expression runner (gx-perl6) and unshifting my custom Repo into $*REPO. | 20:10 | ||
| but that's not too terrible because users would need gx-perl6 anyways to be able to install/update modules | 20:11 | ||
| nine | MadcapJake: yes, that's entirely possible | 20:15 | |
| MadcapJake: you have had a look at my module management slides? | |||
| MadcapJake | nine: yeah I'm digesting that right now | 20:16 | |
| is this doc still pretty up-to-date too? github.com/rakudo/rakudo/blob/nom/...agement.md | |||
| nine | yes | 20:17 | |
