nine is sorry to not have been able to say goodbye to ugexe++ and tony-o++ 07:31
OTOH we're always just an IRC message apart ;) Though we have to repeat the high bandwidth discussions from time to time. That was awfully productive. 07:32
ugexe heh yeah we hoped to catch people at the bar after we went out to dinner last night but it was surprisingly empty so we crashed early 07:40
definitely productive though. perl6 cpan uploads, perl6 cpan indexing/downloading, perl6 cpan testers matrix integration, and at least most of the native dependency / build stuff fleshed out 07:41
ugexe waits for someone to notice the changes to s22 07:42

eater ugexe: why the random . in "by-kernel.name"? 07:58
lizmat ugexe++ tony-o++ nine++ 08:07
ugexe m: say $*KERNEL.name; # presumably because it hints at what data it should contain 08:26
camelia linux
ugexe hopefully i can finish implementing the package manager side of the build stuff this weekend or next before too many more new Build.pms pop up 08:35

lizmat ugexe: for simplicity's sake, I would recommend using VM.osname 08:41
m: say VM.osname
camelia linux
lizmat it takes the OS name from the VM config

nine I just sent a PR for PAUSE to automatically update the source-url field in the extracted .meta file to point to the uploaded tar ball. 11:54

[Coke] ugexe: I was thinking about adding a tab completion script for zef install <...> - thought we could use 'zef list' to drive the possible inputs. Right now a plain 'zef list' takes 11s; I assume it's not just dumping the downloaded list of modules; If not, can it? And also, can we add 'zef list <...>' to restrict the list? 12:49
(I can do all that work, just wanted to check with you before I started on a PR) 13:04

ranguard nine: out of interest I didn't find out, does uploading a .tar.gz to PAUSE with a meta6.json in it now automatically put it in the /Perl6/ dir? 19:10
nine ranguard: yes, it does :) ANDK++ fixed that 19:18

ranguard nine: sweet :) 19:22
and there's a cunning plan to get everyone to upload to PAUSE now :) ? 19:23
s/to/via/
I guess the point being... ping me when I can turn of PSIXDISTS uploading 19:24
nine ranguard: yes, ugexe++ is putting the last pieces into place in zef (or has already) 19:42
ranguard: and there's one little PR I'd like to get into PAUSE
