weekly Rakudo status meetings with phase transitions: Tue 19:00 UTC | IR clogs at irclog.perlgeek.de/phasers/today
Set by moderator on 28 November 2010.
sorear DONE: 10:16
* STD on Niecza can now parse STD.pm6
* Many miscellaneous minor optimizations - now at 48s to parse STD.pm6, compared to ~150s for the viv version
* Announced on p6l, p6a. Responce has been disappointing so far, but I hope it will improve after the p6a greylist clears 10:17

Util No Perl 6 work this past week; none expected until I am done remodeling Parrot's pbc_to_exe. 18:50

Util Hello
sorear hi
moritz_ sorear++ # niecza announcement 19:03
Util sorear++
moritz_ shall we start?
diakopter: any report?
Util must clear space for Mono
diakopter Mostly finished porting the core of nqp-rx's regex compiler from PIR-emitting PIR to DNST/C#-emitting NQP. 19:05
I expect it to be able to pass a decent chunk of nqp-rx's regex test suite in another couple of weeks.
.
moritz_ jnthn?

sorear reported last nigh
jnthn Last week 19:08
* Another unproductive week for me - partly $dayjob distractions, muchly just due to feeling generically ill
* Implemented attribute auto-viv and added some tests for it
* Various little clean-ups inspired by diakopter++'s hacking
* Wrote some new LHF tasks
* Improved method not found errors to aid debugging
This week
(also currently fire-fighting somebody's database migration idiocy... *sigh*)
* I hope to do more. :-)
.EOR
(so a bit distracted...)
diakopter jnthn: before I forget, I ran into something - attribute auto-viv doesn't work (NRE) when attempted to be called from a method that's being called as a non-instance method. 19:09
masak .eor
moritz_ was also pretty unproductive 19:10
I did much p5 hacking
and plan to write a blog post about it (and some related p6 thoughts)
EOR 19:11
anybody else got a report?
colomon If by report, you mean, "Didn't do anything noteworthy, eor," sure.
moritz_ colomon: then feel free to paste your report :-) 19:12
colomon moritz_: already done. ;)
moritz_ anything else we need to discuss?
colomon We're on target to restart the Advent calendar tomorrow, right? 19:13
moritz_ masak mentioned some talk about a testing synopsis
colomon testing synopsis +1
masak who's on first?
Util Is the advent calendar all planned out, or are some days still vacant?
masak I can draft a testing synopsis.
Util: some days are still vacant.
colomon tadzik, I think.
moritz_ tadzik goes first 19:14
masak lots of them, in fact.
diakopter what's on second
moritz_ Util: mu repo, misc/perl6advent-2010/schedule
diakopter: me, with MAIN subs
masak diakopter: count on you to get my subtle references :)
diakopter I don't know is on third
masak :P 19:15
Util moritz_: thanks! I will add to it.
jnthn diakopter: Good. Trying to access attributes on type objects should die horribly. 19:16
moritz_ re testing and skip() and todo()
jnthn (though with a better error than NRE :))
moritz_ the problem is that both count and reason could be optional
which argument should go first? 19:17
masak diakopter: did you submit a rakudobug?
diakopter fer what 19:18
masak moritz_: I think $count should go first, because skip(3) reads better than skip('we cannot do this yet for whatever reason')
diakopter masak: no cuz it's in npqclr
nqpclr 19:19
masak diakopter: oh!
nvm then
moritz_ masak: WFM
masak but I'm not strongly tied to that argument :)
it's just it's the only one I have so far. 19:20
diakopter pmichaud_: around? 19:21
masak rakudo: anon class C {}; say C.WHAT 19:23
diakopter heh 19:24
masak p6eval?
moritz_ this is not #perl6
masak shucks. :) 19:25
