[00:44] <japhb> apogee_ntv, Voldenet: Terminal::Capabilities has an autodetection (via env vars) module that has been filled out based on my manual testing (using Terminal::Tests to produce test screens). At this point, Terminal::Capabilities::Autodetect should properly lower-bound the capabilities of most terminals.

[00:44] <japhb> It does *not* yet detect sixel and kitty, because I haven't written test screens in Terminal::Tests for either of those protocols yet.

[00:48] <japhb> It does however account for a lot of bugs in things that "should just work by now" but don't.

[00:49] <japhb> As well as things that terminals advertise but then don't actually do.

[10:51] <apogee_ntv> sp1983: Very interesting. Try Notcurses::Native if you want a complex example :D
