[21:33] <tbrowder> i believe since that's one of the possible entries for a module id it ought to be defined. the other three have a default when constructed.

[22:21] <ugexe> what i would suggest (although i havent started doing this myself) is to use :api as what you would consider the major version, and :version to be the rest of the version. this lets you do like :api<1>:version<2.0+> which has the advantage of not applying the + to :api. so you could still get patch updates via + without always bringing in breaking changes like :version<1.2.0+> does
