antononcube @bscan Tryed the formating (with Shift+Opti+Cmd on my mac.) Works. 01:21
Agh. works in .raku files. Not inside Jupyter Raku cells. 01:23
But that is not a big tragedy...
@bscan > Does anyone here use a formatter I'm not aware of? I assume you mean Raku formatter only, right? 01:28
Can your formatter be made into a Raku package? 01:30
bscan I'm most curious about Raku formatters, especially if someone is working on one. Although if people really like another language's formatter, I'd be interested in that too. People seem to love gofmt for example, because everyone uses it and it intentionally has no configuration. 01:57
nemokosch I don't think this level of opinionated would be successful with the current userbase of Raku 02:03
but having some sort of formatter is a net win in my opinion, something that people tend to expect as a part of the tooling 02:04
bscan Yeah, thats fair. And I don't mind customization for people that want it. Mostly just trying to make sure the formatter itself is aligned with what the community is looking for. 02:18
It's implemented in Typescript/node currently, so probably not. However, it plays well with vscode and could be used easily in web based editors. 02:19

ugexe There was Perl6::Tidy although I think he was waiting for RakuAST to take it further. Alas, the author has since passed 03:10

librasteve @bscan … this looks fantastic, may I add it to the raku.org/tools page? 08:22

librasteve_ hi ./ 10:33
I know I can make an alias like this 10:34
m: sub fn(:A(:$a)) { say $a }; fn :A(2);
camelia 2
librasteve_ is there a way to do that for class public `has ` attrs ? 10:35
[well, I now I can make setter / getter by hand … but I means is there any sytax for that] 10:36
lizmat I vaguely recall having made a module for that...
Text::CSV uses something like that
raku.land/zef:lizmat/Method::Also # I guess I had that in mind 10:39

ab5tract bscan: nice work! The IntelliJ plugin uses the IntelliJ formatter (most of the time it works, there's a nasty bug that unfortunately impacts code that uses NQP) 11:30

bscan Stackoverflow is almost dead as measured by number of questions, and I'm constantly amazed at how hostile the editors are to the few remaining users. blog.pragmaticengineer.com/stack-o...most-dead/ 19:54
nemokosch tbh I also wouldn't be able to tell what is a valid input and especially not what the output should be for certain input 19:55
antononcube Very funny! 20:03
Voldenet Well, a lot of SO questions in the past were about trivial things, so editors learned to be strict about them 20:11
nemokosch it's really the OP who should at the very least define whether the letters in the word have to be in the same order, and whether to look for one pair or all pairings or distinct pairs etc 20:14
Voldenet Yeah, and once you type the question into gpt, you see that there's multiple ways of understanding the question 20:16
is the puzzle scrabble like thing, or wordie like? You never know 20:23
nemokosch at first I even read the sentence like the input itself contains same-length words with one-letter differences and I was confused why the example calls it "output" 20:26
Voldenet soooo I think it's not the best question 20:47
