xinming today, I got random thoughts ono how will @a = (*-1, *-2, *-3); @x[@a] behave, Will it DWIM? Then I saw the result, and it amazes me
lizmat any Callable used as an index, will get the number of elements passed as a value 11:23
The WhateverCode is nothing special in that respect
xinming I just make a remark for this. :-)
lizmat okidok, glad you were amazed! :-) 11:31

apogee_ntv Selkie progress: benchmarking far more than I probably should be. Going for 60Hz even in image-heavy apps. 12:12
On average hardware (2021 Thinkpad T14)
It's ambitious but so far looks doable or very close. 12:14

jkramer Hi there! I'm in the process of moving all my stuff from github over to codeberg so I wanted to update some old modules as well so zef pulls from the new repos. Then I noticed that some of those old modules are still on my PAUSE account, so they auth=cpan:jkramer instead of the new zef:jkramer. Is there a way to move those to zef/fez? Do I just delete the old files from my PAUSE account and re-register with fez? 14:09

jkramer tbrowder: Uhm not sure if I can help with that, it's been quite some time and I don't remember having done anything with File::Copy tbh :) 14:13
Hmm btw raku.land build seems to be broken raku.land/build 14:14

lizmat jkramer: just issue a new release with the new zef:jkramer auth, and remove the files from PAUSE 16:37
those will continue to be available from the REA (Raku Ecosystem Archive) 16:38
jkramer lizmat: Perfect, thank you! 16:39

jkramer Hmm now the modules are duplicated on raku.land, one with cpan:jkramer and one with zef:jkramer. Will the old one disappear on its own eventually or can I do something manually to remove it? 17:05

actually it's high-end hardware 17:56
these used zen 3 iirc, cheapest laptop used zen 2 still 17:58
well, not high-end, medium-end 17:59
still, idk if developing for mediocre 2021 hardware is a good idea, plain windows notepad used to lag on these… 18:02
apogee_ntv It's high end 2021 hardware :P 18:08
Pretty mediocre 2026 hardware 18:09

Also, one thing you're going to run into if you're doing this in rakudo (as opposed to raku++) is that full GC collections aren't fast. You'll see stuttering if you leak objects out of the nursery. 19:00
(I don't actually know the GC performance of raku++, so can't speak to that.) 19:01
