So an argument containing a tab but no space was passed unquoted, and the child process split it into two arguments. Empty arguments were not quoted either, so they vanished. |

This leads to an attempt to read 0 bytes when the remainder is 0, which is a fail. Additionally, it leaked the filehandle because it never reached the cleanup path, which is now also fixed |
